It features advanced Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) technology, which ensures stable signal transmission up to 100m (328ft) without obstacles. It operates on a 2.4GHz wireless signal transmission, making it compatible with DSLR, mirrorless cameras, smartphones, and computers.

The BY-XM6-K2 also has a built-in omnidirectional microphone and a lavalier microphone on the transmitter. It has a headphone output jack on the receiver for real-time monitoring and offers stereo and mono outputs that are switchable.
